There are several restaurants located throughout the Disneyland Resort area that feature character dining with classic Disney characters we all know and love. No matter what your party is in the mood for, you’ll be able to find a character dining experience that offers something for everyone.
Located on Main Street, U.S.A. in Disneyland Park is the Plaza Inn, a Victorian-style restaurant that features a character breakfast and serves up hearty American fare. The Minnie and Friends – Breakfast in the Park features a breakfast buffet with pastries, waffles, and an omelet station as well as opportunities to take photographs and get autographs from classic Disney characters.
The Storytellers Cafe, located in Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, features classic storybook memorabilia as well as a fun character breakfast with Chip ‘N’ Dale. Join the critters as well as other woodland favorites for a hearty breakfast, and choose from menu selections or the Farmer’s Market buffet that features fresh fruit and Mickey Mouse shaped waffles.
For more character dining excitement, head over to the Disneyland Hotel for Goofy’s Kitchen, a buffet-style restaurant that serves an array of food for both breakfast and dinner. Guests will be able to hang out with Chef Goofy and his pals while enjoying hearty breakfast and dinner selections like pastries, Goofy’s Peanut Butter Pizza, prime rib and salads.
At Disney California Adventure Park, guests can also experience character dining at Ariel’s Grotto, available for both breakfast and lunch. Guests will be immersed in an undersea palace fit for a princess, and all of the Disney Princesses will be there to make the rounds, sign autographs and pose for photos. The fixed-price menu has a range of entrees, including pasta and seafood selections, while kids have their own delicious choices to pick from. Family-style salads and desserts are included with meals at Ariel’s Grotto, as well.
Finally, head over to Disney’s PCH Grill at the Paradise Pier Hotel for a Surf’s Up! Breakfast with Mickey & Friends, a character dining experience serving California-inspired cuisine in a fun, beach-themed atmosphere. The character breakfast buffet includes traditional favorites as well as specialty items such as flatbreads, grilled chicken breast with roasted garlic sauce and chilaquiles.
