These are the most exciting posts for us — Easter Eggs. Pixar’s “Easter Eggs” are the little “inside jokes” and hidden references that Pixar animators and producers drop into their films. These often reference other Pixar films, or touch on the history of the studio.

Back on May 23rd we reported about the birth of a baby elephant at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, a beautiful baby girl. Luna, now almost one month old, is taking her first steps into the Kilimanjaro Safaris Savannah. Luna has a lot of adapting and learning to do and Disney is taking every precaution to foster her health and well-being.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom park is set to host the 3rd annual “Expedition Everest Challenge;” a night-time competitive race on Saturday, June 12th. Groups of two competitors, and solo racers, will challenge themselves to finish a 5K through the park, complete a climb-crawl obstacle course, and finish with a scavenger hunt. In addition to the adult challenge, there will be a special children’s race at 7:30 p.m. for young adventurers.

Disney Design Group artists, Costa Alavezos, Brian Blackmore and Darren Wilson have been involved in multiple projects this year for Disney’s galactic “Star Wars Weekends” at Disney’s Hollywood Studios park. One of the projects includes some special limited edition art items created to pay tribute to “Star Wars Weekends” & it’s beloved characters.
