Selena Gomez Performs UNICEF Benefit Concert Unplugged

Selena Gomez, star of Disney Channel’s The Wizards of Waverly Place, celebrated the anniversary of UNICEF’s Trick-or-Treat Campaign last night by performing a private acoustic concert.   The show took place at the Roxy Theater in West Hollywood and benefited the popular program, which turns sixty this year. 
Eighteen year-old Gomez was appointed the youngest UNICEF ambassador in the United States in 2009.  This year marks her third consecutive year as the Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF National Spokesperson.

Dr. J and Ken Griffey Jr. to Headline Disney Pro Am Golf Tournament

Looking for even more entertainment options during your upcoming November Walt Disney World vacation?  If you’re a sports fan, you are in luck.  Sports legends will be coming to Walt Disney World to play a little golf for a good cause next month.
Basketball great Julius Erving and recently retired baseball icon Ken Griffey Jr. will headline a celebrity list competing in the pro-am portion of next month’s Children’s Miracle Network Classic.  This will be the first appearance in the tournament for both players.

Talking Mickey Debuts in New Show at Disney’s California Adventure

Visitors to the brand new Disney Dance Crew show at Disney’s California Adventure Park in Disneyland Resort are not the only ones talking; Mickey’s on stage! The new version of Mickey is appearing in the show, which opened Friday.
“We are introducing and featuring Mickey in a brand new way,” said Randy Wojcik, the show’s director. Audiences and guests to the park will recall that Mickey’s features are usually fixed, but the new version of the beloved character includes a mouth that moves and blinking eyes.

Brad Paisley Celebrates Birthday in Disney World

It was a great day to visit the World — at least, country superstar Brad Paisley and his wife, actress Kimberly Williams-Paisley, must have thought so! 
The couple were spotted today at Magic Kingdom Park, and ran into Minnie Mouse, dressed in her best “good witch” costume, in front of the Haunted Mansion.

Disney Partners With Ocean Spray

Visitors to Disney Parks and properties will soon have a new snack option! Disney has announced that, in partnership with Ocean Spray, it will begin offering Craisins™ dried cranberry snacks in many retail locations around the parks, in resorts, and in conference centers.
“Disney will now offer Craisins Dried Cranberries at various retail locations, including theme parks, cruise ships, meeting rooms, and hotels,” said Ocean Spray. Guests will have access to the sweet-tart treats in salads, muffins, and at fruit stands and kiosks throughout Disney properties.
