Disney Novel ‘The Price of Freedom’ to Offer Prequel Glimpse into Captain Jack Sparrow’s Adventures

Can’t get enough of Captain Jack and his pirate adventures? We can’t, either.  But now that the latest Pirates franchise, Pirates of the Caribbean:  On Stranger Tides, has been released, and we’ve all seen it – two or three times – how do we get more, well, Pirates?

Woman Who Lost Consciousness On Space Mountain Improving, Says Sheriff’s Office

A woman who lost consciousness while riding the Space Mountain attraction at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom last Sunday is showing signs of improvement, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
Miranda Baldwin, 48, of Cornwall, England, experienced what investigators are calling an “unknown medical event” while riding the roller coaster with her two daughters over the weekend.  Her daughters, who were riding behind her, noticed that she seemed to be unconscious toward the end of the ride, and summoned cast members to assist when the ride was over.  Reedy Creek …

D23’s Ultimate Disney Trivia Tournament in Anaheim to Award Fantastic Prize to Winners

Think you know your Disney stuff? Then you may want to check out D23’s Ultimate Disney Trivia Tournament, presented by Hasbro’s Trivial Pursuit:  Disney For All Edition, to be held this summer.

Star Sighting:  Aerosmith’s Joe Perry Rocks Out with Goofy

Guitarist Joe Perry of the rock group Aerosmith joined Goofy for an impromptu photo op at Disney’s Hollywood Studios last week.
The members of the legendary group are no strangers to the park, as one of its most popular attractions, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, features their music.  In fact, the four-story guitar that stands at the entrance of the indoor coaster served as the perfect background for the photo, which was shot by Disney photographer, Gene Duncan.

Video:  ‘The Muppets’ Movie Trailer

We know a LOT of people who have been looking forward to their first glimpse of this film – including us!
The Muppets trailer debuted (from what we’re hearing) in some cities with Pirates of the Caribbean:  On Stranger Tides this past weekend.  And today, we’re sharing it with you, too.
Beloved by all ages, favorite Muppets characters star alongside Jason Segel and Amy Adams in this fun film, due in theatres this November 23.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios’ Star Tours 2 Attraction Features Out-of-this-World Fun

Over the weekend, I had the opportunity to visit with friends who were in town at Walt Disney World.  One thing led to another, and we found ourselves at Disney’s Hollywood Studios Friday night, the opening day of Disney Hollywood Studios’ updated attraction, Star Tours.

‘Disney Prep and Landing’ To Debut on DVD on November 22

If the beginning of summer doesn’t have you clamoring for holiday plans, then maybe this will.  Disney has announced that it will release the animated holiday favorite, Disney Prep and Landing, this November 22, just in time for the holiday season.

Selena Gomez Wows on the Billboard Awards Red Carpet

Wizards of Waverly Place darling Selena Gomez blew aways fashion and music critic alike in her daring black dress Sunday night at the Billboard Awards in Las Vegas.

Disney Fantasy to Differ in Decor from Sister Ship Dream

Disney Cruise Lines has continued to share additional information regarding its newest ship, the Disney Fantasy.  The lastest edition to be added to the popular fleet of cruise ships is currently under construction in Papenburg, Germany. 
The Fantasy will introduce many new dining and entertainment options, including an animated, interactive dinner show and re-imagined nightlife district for adults, as well as new stage shows that are currently being developed for the new ship exclusively.  However, Disney also plans to distinguish the Fantasy from its sister ship, the Disney Dream, through decor.

Woman Found Unconscious on Space Mountain; Ride Closed for Inspection

Walt Disney World’s Space Mountain, located in Magic Kingdom, was closed today after a guest was found unconscious on the ride.
The 48 year-old woman, whose name has not yet been released, was treated at the scene by Reedy Creek Emergency Services before being transported to Dr. Phillips Hospital. 
While the condition of the unidentified guest is unknown at this time, park officials stated that the cause of her unconsciousness appeared to be as a result of a health issue, rather than an injury or trauma as a result from the ride.
