Radio Disney Signs Distribution Agreement Giving Radio Stations around the Country Access to the Radio Disney Top 30

Radio Disney recently signed a distribution agreement with Dees Entertainment that will allow radio stations around the country to access the Radio Disney Top 30.
This three-hour weekly program features the most popular songs among kids and families and is hosted by Radio Disney on-air personality Ernest “Ernie D” Martinez. The show originates from Radio Disney’s studios in Burbank.

The Seas with Nemo & Friends Earns Reaccreditation from the Association of Zoos and Aquariums

Epcot’s The Seas with Nemo & Friends was recently granted accreditation again by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA).
According to the AZA President and CEO Jim Maddy, “The Association of Zoos and Aquariums accredits only those aquariums and zoos that meet the highest standards. As a leader in wildlife conservation and animal care, inspiring millions of visitors each year, The Seas is ranked among the best aquariums in the world.”

Disney Junior Announces ‘Give a Book, Get a Book’ Initiative

Disney Junior recently announced its new Give a Book, Get a Book program during a celebrity book reading at the Disneyland Hotel.

The Walt Disney Company Named World’s Most Reputable Company by Reputation Institute

Recently, The Walt Disney Company was named the world’s most reputable company based on results of a worldwide consumer survey.
The survey was conducted by a private consulting firm, Reputation Institute. Disney shares the number one spot with Google, with each company scoring a 77.3 in the survey.
The online survey interviewed more than 55,000 consumers across 15 countries around the world including India, China, Russia, Brazil, France, Australia, and Spain. The consumers were asked to determine a company’s trust, admiration, feeling, and overall reputation.

Poster-Inspired Disney Attraction T-Shirts Arriving at Disney Parks Online Store

Four new T-shirts inspired by Disney Parks attractions are making their way to the Disney Parks online store this month.
The shirts were inspired by attraction posters featured in the Poster Art of Disney Parks book by Vanessa Hunt and Danny Handke.
The first two shirts are available from April 15 through April 20 and celebrate Fantasyland at Disneyland Park and the Sunshine Tree Terrace at the Magic Kingdom. The Fantasyland T-shirt is purple and the poster that inspired the tee was created in 1955 by Bjorn Aronson.

Runners participating in the Wine and Dine Half Marathon and next year’s Goofy Challenge during the Walt Disney World Marathon will be wearing some newly designed bling around their neck.
The designers at Disney Yellow Shoes have created two new finisher medals to celebrate the 5th anniversary of the Wine and Dine Half Marathon this fall and the 10th anniversary of the Goofy Challenge in 2015.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios 25th Anniversary Commemorative Merchandise Arriving at the Park on May 1

May 1 marks the 25th anniversary of Disney’s Hollywood Studios and a new line of commemorative merchandise is coming to the park for the celebration.
The anniversary merchandise includes four new shirts for adults and kids including a classic black polo, and three T-shirts.
Other merchandise includes a messenger bag, a key chain, and a 12-inch pre-dressed Duffy the Disney Bear. Duffy is wearing a Hollywood Studios ball cap, T-shirt, and shorts.

Party for the Planet Planned for April 22 at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Disney’s Animal Kingdom is once again hosting a Party for the Planet on Earth Day – April 22 this year.
Guests visiting the park on Earth Day will have a chance to discover how to make their backyards wildlife friendly and learn how to connect with and conserve wildlife and nature.

Disney Announces ‘The Million Dollar Arm Pitching Contest’ to Celebrate the Opening of the New Film ‘Million Dollar Arm’

To celebrate the release of the new film Million Dollar Arm, Disney is hosting The Million Dollar Arm Pitching Contest.
Amateur baseball pitchers are invited to qualify in the preliminary round of the Million Dollar Arm Pitching Contest at the Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland, or the Tribeca/ESPN Sports Day at the Tribeca Family Festival in New York City. Contestants can be male or female, and must be at least 18 years old and residents of the United States.

Walt Disney World Resort Announces ‘After Hours Wind Down’ at Epcot

The Walt Disney World Resort has announced a new hard ticket event for Epcot guests that takes place after the park closes.
The ‘After Hours Wind Down’ takes place April 17 through September 15 on select nights – after IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth.
Guests who purchase a ticket for the ‘Wind Down’ can then choose from four World Showcase locations: La Cava del Tequila in Mexico, Rose & Crown Pub & Dining Room in the United Kingdom, Spice Road Table in Morocco, and Tutto Gusto in Italy.
