2017 Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival Kicks Off March 1

flower and gardenThe 2017 Epcot Flower and Garden Festival kicks off March 1 for 90 days of flowers, food, and more.

The festival is celebrating its 24th anniversary in 2017 and will feature new topiaries, new Outdoor Kitchens, an extended Garden Rocks concert series schedule, and much more.

The two new Outdoor Kitchens will join the 13 returning booths including Urban Farm Eats. The booth will be serving sweet and savory dishes along with ideas for planting produce.

Topiaries for the 2017 festival include a new slate of princess topiaries with Snow White, Anna, and Elsa, and a brand-new Belle topiary inspired by Beauty and the Beast. Belle and Beast will be located in the France pavilion.

A 6-foot topiary of Figment is also part of the lineup, and there’s also a new Epcot front entrance topiary garden inspired by a vintage Walt Disney short film. The garden features Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Daisy, and Pluto.

The Garden Rocks concert series will expand to four days each week – three concerts each Friday through Monday. And a new Garden Rocks dining package will be available on select days.

The interactive play gardens will feature a new version of the Cars-themed garden including a new character topiary from Cars 3.

The Festival Center will also extend its operating hours from March 1 through March 5. During the rest of the Festival the center will be open Friday through Sunday and it’s where guests can find gardening seminars and DIY workshops.

In all more than 100 topiaries will be featured at the Festival including Donald Duck and his nephews, Anna and Elsa, Chip and Dale, Lady and the Tramp, Simba, Timon, Tinker Bell, and more.

Guests can expect surprises and special appearances related to Earth Day, and the Butterflies on the Go garden returns again in 2017.

The 24th Epcot Flower and Garden Festival runs March 1 through May 29 and is included in your Epcot admission.
