If you’re sailing on the Disney Cruise Line this summer be prepared for some Frozen fun.
The “winter-in-summer” celebration is happening on board the Disney Wonder and Disney Magic all summer long, from May through July.
Kids can enjoy Frozen Adventures on the Disney Wonder with surprise visits from Anna and Elsa, and on all four Disney Cruise Line ships guests can get their photos taken with Anna, Elsa, and Olaf year-round.

If you happened to watch the Academy Awards on Sunday night – and didn’t grab a snack during the commercial breaks – you might have seen a new ad for Pandora – The World of Avatar at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
The ad featured a voice-over and appearance by Avatar director James Cameron.
The television spot also gave guests a bit of insight into the new attraction, Avatar Flight of Passage, where guests will have a chance to see what it is like to soar through the air on a Banshee.

Walt Disney Animation Studios’ hit film Zootopia won the Academy Award for best Animated Feature at the 89th Oscars.
The film was nominated in the category alongside Moana.
Other nominations for Disney included best Original Song, ‘How Far I’ll Go,’ from Moana, best Short Film (animated) for Piper, and three visual effects nominations for Doctor Strange, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, and The Jungle Book.
Piper won the Oscar for best Short Film (animated) and The Jungle Book won for best Visual Effects.

Disney Junior favorite Doc McStuffins is meeting guests at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Doc has set up a meet-and-greet outside the vet clinic at Rafiki’s Planet Watch.
Guests can meet Doc here or at Disney’s Hollywood Studios where she’s been meeting fans for a few years.
The Disney Junior show Doc McStuffins tells the story of six-year-old Doc, who wants to be a doctor just like her mom. She runs a clinic for stuffed animals and toys.

What a week it’s been! We’re closing out February with major news from Caribbean Beach Resort, menus for the Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival, and summer 2018 sailings on Disney Cruise Line.
We found out this week that the restaurants – and pool bar! – at Caribbean Beach Resort are closing for refurbishment on May 1. The Old Port Royale Food Court, Shutters, and Banana Cabana Pool Bar will be affected.
Guests will have alternative options for dining in Centertown, three island markets, and a new quick service in Trinidad.

The Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival kicks off March 10 and runs through April 16, and Disney has released the official booth menus!
This year’s festival will feature 14 food booths including Nuts About Cheese, Uncork California, I Heart Artichokes, Garlic Kissed, California Craft Brews, Olive Us, Bacon Twist, Lemon Grove, Seafood Sustained, The Onion Lair, Off the Cob, Sweet and Sourdough, LA Style, and the Paradise Garden Grill Beer Garden.

The newest character meal at Walt Disney World is starting April 2 at Trattoria al Forno at Disney’s BoardWalk.
The Bon Voyage Breakfast stars Rapunzel, Flynn Rider, Ariel, and Prince Eric.
Disney recently released the menu for the breakfast and items include: Calzone with scrambled Eggs, Soppressata, Bacon, Sausage, Blend of Cheeses and Sunday Gravy; a Golden Frittata; “Tangled Eggs”; seasonal buttermilk pancakes; and a smoked salmon egg white omelet.

Disneyland’s Village Haus Restaurant is transforming – for a limited timed – into the Red Rose Taverne to celebrate the release of Beauty and the Beast.
The restaurant will feature décor inspired by the live-action film and opens February 24. The menu features dishes inspired by the film.
Savory menu items include Beast’s Burger topped with Gruyere cheese, a classic cheeseburger, an Enchanted Cauliflower Sandwich, Slow Cooke Beef Poutine, a chicken sandwich, a chef’s chopped salad, Poutine Flatbread, and more.

The 2017 runDisney Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend will feature a Pixar theme, celebrating some of the most popular Pixar films and characters.
The Disneyland Half Marathon will feature a Toy Story theme, while the Disneyland Double Dare will celebrate Pixar Animation Studios.
Monsters University is the theme of the Disneyland 10K with host Mike and Sulley, while the Disneyland 5K theme is The Incredibles.

A new nighttime dining event is coming to California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.
The Celebration at the Top debuts February 26 and gives guests a chance to enjoy appetizers, drinks, and the fireworks from the Magic Kingdom.
Guests at the Celebration at the Top will enjoy canapes, sushi, flatbreads, and other small plates in addition to a complimentary bar serving craft beers, wines, cordials, and coffee.
