Orlando’s Magical Dining Month Extended Until October 12

Orlando’s Magical Dining Month has been extended for 11 days and will now run through October 12.
More than 90 of the participating restaurants have agreed to extend the program, including several at the Walt Disney World Resort.
Magical Dining Month gives diners the chance to enjoy a $35 prix fixe menu at participating Orlando-area restaurants and $1 from each meal supports Freedom Ride and BASE Camp Children’s Cancer Foundation.
At the Walt Disney World Resort guests can dine at Morimoto Asia, STK Orlando, and Paddlefish at Disney Spring.

New ‘I Was There’ Merchandise Collection Launched for Epcot’s 35th Anniversary

Epcot is celebrating its 35th anniversary on October 1 and Disney has announced a special collection of commemorative merchandise for the big day.
The new “I Was There” collection includes apparel, pins, and more.
Several items in the collection feature Figment, the loveable purple dragon that has been at Epcot for a long time.
He’s featured on T-shirts for kids and adults, plus a hat and a limited-edition pin. There’s also an ornament in the collection.
Annual Passholders will also find a tee just for them.

Medals Revealed for 2018 Walt Disney World Marathon

The 2018 Walt Disney World Marathon is the 25th anniversary of the runDisney event and Disney has revealed the finisher medals for the race weekend.
The Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend includes six races and three challenges for 2018.
The Disney World 5K finisher medal features Mickey Mouse and Pluto while the 10K medal features Minnie Mouse and the lanyard features her signature polka dots.
The half marathon finisher medal is yellow and red and includes Mickey Mouse and the race’s host, Donald Duck.

New ‘Doctor Strange’ Show Coming to Marvel Day at Sea on Disney Cruise Line

The Disney Cruise Line’s Marvel Day at Sea has added a new, interactive show starring Doctor Strange.
During the show families will be invited to join Doctor Strange on a journey to explore the Mystic Arts.
The new show will feature projections and special effect, transporting guests to the New York Sanctum Santorum where Doctor Strange lives. Kids in the audience will be called upon to become apprentices and will receive a certificate at the end of their “training.”

Sneak Peek of ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ Coming to Disney California Adventure

Thor: Ragnarok opens in theaters on November 3, but guests at Disney California Adventure can catch a sneak peek of the film before that.
Beginning October 6, guests at Disney California Adventure can catch an extended preview of the new film in 3D with special in-theater effects at the Sunset Showcase Theater in Hollywood Land.
Props and costumes from the film will also be on display.

Watch Live-Stream of Mickey’s Boo-To-You Parade Friday Night

If you aren’t able to make it to the Magic Kingdom this year for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party you can catch a live-stream of Mickey’s Boo-To-You Parade this week!
On Friday night – September 22 – the Disney Parks Blog will stream the parade from the Magic Kingdom starting at 9:30 p.m.
The parade is a highlight at MNSSHP and features Disney characters in their Halloween costumes, Disney Villains, characters from the Haunted Mansion, and the Headless Horseman!

2018 Epcot Festival of the Arts Dates Announced

Disney has announced the dates for the 2018 Epcot Festival of the Arts.
The Festival will kick off its second year on January 12 and will run seven days a week until February 19. Last year the Festival only ran Fridays through Mondays.
The Epcot Festival of the Arts is a celebration of culinary, visual, and performing arts.
The 2018 event will once again include Food Studios, entertainment, and more. The 2017 Festival included Disney on Broadway performances.
No official entertainment lineup has been announced yet for 2018.

Disney Reveals Merchandise for Mickey’s Halloween Party at Disneyland

Mickey’s Halloween Party kicks off at Disneyland on September 30 and runs on select nights through October 31.
And recently, Disney gave guests a preview of the commemorative merchandise for the event.
The merchandise slate includes apparel for kids and adults and collectible pins with the party logo.
Annual Passholders can purchase a special logo T-shirt and a limited-edition pin featuring the Headless Horseman. This merchandise will be available at Disneyana on Main Street, U.S.A., or Tomorrowland Starcade.

Disney PhotoPass Celebrating Talk Like a Pirate Day on September 19

Tomorrow, September 19, is International Talk Like a Pirate Day and Disney PhotoPass is celebrating the holiday at Walt Disney World.
Guests can visit the PhotoPass photographer across from Pirates of the Caribbean in the Magic Kingdom for a Magic Shot photo between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m.
If you’re riding Pirates of the Caribbean (all year, not just on Talk Like a Pirate Day), you’ll have your image captured in true pirate style!

Star Wars: Galactic Nights Returns to Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Star Wars: Galactic Nights is returning for one night to Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
The special event featuring Star Wars characters, celebrity appearances, fireworks, and more is planned for December 16, the day after the opening of Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
Guests attending Galactic Nights will have a chance to enjoy Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away, fireworks during Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular, a panel discussion about Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, and more.
