Disney Cruise Line Announces Changes to On Board Navigator App

Disney Cruise Line’s on board Navigator app is sporting a new design and enhanced features for guests.
Highlights of the redesigned app include: a horizontal, scrollable menu; quick access to cruise details; a “My Plans” section where all on board activities and port activities can be found; ship tips; and the spotlight at sea section.
Guests can still use the app for individual and group chats on board the ship, and to look at maps of the ships and Castaway Cay, and more.

Disneyland’s Holiday Season Starts November 9

The holiday season kicks off November 9 at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure!
This year’s festivities including the Festival of Holidays from November 9 through January 6, and more special events.
The Festival of Holidays includes food booths with holiday eats, the Disney ¡Viva Navidad! street party, and more.
Cars Land will be decked out for the season again, and over at Disneyland guests can enjoy holiday overlays at it’s a small world and Haunted Mansion.

Enjoy a Live Stream of ‘Paint the Night’ Parade on July 25

If you can’t make it to Disneyland this summer, you can still check out the Paint the Night Parade thanks to a live stream of the parade on July 25.
The Disney Parks Blog is hosting a live stream of the parade starting at 8:50 p.m. PT.
The Paint the Night Parade features more than 1 million lights plus music and “cutting edge special effects.”
A new float featuring The Incredibles was added to the parade for the Pixar Fest which is happening through September 3.

Bing Bong’s Sweet Stuff Confectinery Now Open on Pixar Pier

Guests visiting Pixar Pier at Disney California Adventure have a new spot to satisfy their sweet tooth! Bing Bong’s Sweet Stuff Confectionery is now open!
The new confectionery is inspired by Bing Bong, the fluffy pink imaginary friend from Inside Out.
Inside the store guests will find a sweets case full of Caramel Apples, Cake Pops, Mickey Krispy Treats, Marshmallow Wands, and more.
Other sweets include candies, salt water taffy, bagged candies, and other goodies.

Duffy’s Newest Friend, ‘Olu, Arrives at Aulani

Duffy the Disney bear has a new friend who has joined him at Disney’s Aulani Resort.
‘Olu arrives at Aulani on July 27 with an exclusive line of brand new merchandise!
Duffy met ‘Olu as Mickey and Duffy were sailing the islands in search of the perfect birthday present for ShelliMay and they heard beautiful ‘ukulele music coming from a cove — and that’s where they found ‘Olu.
What a sweet story.
And Duffy and ‘Olu became fast friends and now they’ll be making guests smile at Aulani.

Spooky and fun new experiences are coming to this year’s Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at the Magic Kingdom.
New experiences for 2018 include:

New pirates on Pirates of the Caribbean
Special lighting and effects on the Mad Tea Party
A new soundtrack on Space Mountain
The Storybook Circus Disney Junior Jam, a dance party featuring favorite Disney Junior Characters, including Doc McStuffins.

There is a Fairy Tale photo opp at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and Disney PhotoPass Studio at Disney Springs in Walt Disney World.
Disney PhotoPass photographers will capture images of your little princess or prince in their royal gear after their makeovers at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique!
Both candid photos of the makeover and formal portraits after the makeover are available.
Disney Springs PhotoPass Studio also offers MagicShots with Cinderella’s Fairy Godmother.

Artist Events Announced for the Downtown Disney District at Disneyland Resort

There’s a slate of new artist events planned for the Downtown Disney District at Disneyland Resort.
On July 21, WonderGround Gallery welcomes Gabby Zapata, Jeff Granito, Jerrod Maruyama, Nidhi Chanani, and Sydney Hanson for an Artist Showcase on from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Jeff Granito, Nidhi Chanani, and Sydney Hanson are debuting new pieces, and Gabby Zapata and Jerrod Maruyama will be singing their recent work.
On July 28 and 29 guest can meet the July artist of the month, Nidhi Chanan, at WonderGround Gallery from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Very Merrytime Cruises this Fall on Disney Cruise Line

This fall the Disney Cruise Line ships will once again deck the halls for the Very Merrytime Cruises.
The cruises sail beginning in early November and feature holiday fun for the whole family.
Some of the holiday events include: Mickey’s Magical Tree Lighting, Santa’s Winter Wonderland Ball, Deck the Deck Holiday Party, building gingerbread houses, visiting with Santa, decorating cookies, and even special activities on shore at Castaway Cay including “snow flurries.”
Additional festivities include Thanksgiving dinner, football games on the jumbo screens, Christmas morning surprises, and more.

Rivers of Light Dessert Party Coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom

A new Rivers of Light Dessert Party is coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
The new nighttime party will feature a buffet of Animal Kingdom-themed desserts, snacks, and drinks and VIP views of Rivers of Light.
Guests will check in to the party 60 minutes prior to the show at the Rivers of Light Asia Viewing Area Terrace.
Buffet items includes house-made desserts, snacks, specialty drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic), plus iced tea, lemonade, and water.
Before the show starts guests will be lead to the VIP viewing area for Rivers of Light.
