New Cantina Announced for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge

When Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opens next year in Disneyland and Disney’s Hollywood Studios, guests will be able to stop in to Oga’s Cantina for drinks and entertainment.
Disney’s backstory for Oga’s goes like this: the cantina is “run by an intriguing alien proprietor, Oga Garra” and is often full of “unruly patrons.”
Stormtroopers and other characters from the Star Wars universe are regular guests at the cantina.
Oga’s will be serving libations for kids and adults, and the entertainment will be provided by RX-24, the droid from Star Tours who has reimagined …

New Storybook Dining Coming to Disney’s Wilderness Lodge

Artist Point – the Signature Dining restaurant at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge – will be transformed into a new character dining experience this winter.
The new Storybook Dining at Artist Point will feature Snow White, Dopey, Grumpy, and even an appearance from the Evil Queen.
Guests will “venture into an Enchanted Forest-like” setting inspired by Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
The menu will be a prix fixe menu featuring starters, a plated entree, and “sweet spells” for dessert.
Storybook Dining at Artist Point with Snow White is slated to begin this winter.

The 2018 Epcot Food and Wine Festival Starts Today!

Today is THE day! The 2018 Epcot Food and Wine Festival kicks off this morning!
This year’s Festival features more than 30 marketplace booths in both Future World and World Showcase.
Other events include the popular Eat to the Beat concert series, Party for the Senses, low-cost and free seminars and demonstrations, celebrity chefs, fun for the whole family, and much more!

Disney Cruise Line Sailing from California and Texas this Fall

Starting next month the Disney Wonder will begin sailings from San Diego, California, and Galveston, Texas for the fall and holiday seasons.
The Wonder will sail from San Diego to Baja and the Mexican Riviera in September and October. Ports of call include Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlán, and Cabo San Lucas.
Sailings will include Halloween on the High Seas so guests can celebrate all things Halloween.
Then, in November and December, the Wonder will sail from Galveston on Caribbean and Bahama sailings. Stops in the Caribbean include Cozumel, Mexico, and the islands of Jamaica and …

Menu Updates and More for the Tropical Hideaway at Disneyland

Disneyland’s Adventureland will soon be home to the Tropical Hideaway where guests will be able to relax and enjoy eats and sips from around the world.
The Tropical Hideway is being touted as an exotic marketplace which will be located near the famed Jungle Cruise attraction.
The market will serve up eats include Bao Buns (Spiced Vegetable Bao, Kaffir Lime Chicken Bao, and Bulgogi Beef Bao), chilled ramen salad, and even Pineapple Lumpia (the same Lumpia that just returned to the menu at Pongu Pongu in Disney’s Animal Kingdom at Disney World).

New Disney Vera Bradley Collection to Debut for Mickey’s 90th Anniversary

There’s a new Disney Vera Bradley collection coming out in honor of Mickey’s 90th anniversary celebration!
The new collection  – Mickey’s Paisley Celebration – will debut on September 6 at the Vera Bradley Store in Disney Springs at Walt Disney World.

Celebrate the Great Irish Hooley at Raglan Road Irish Pub and Restaurant this Weekend

The Great Irish Hooley returns to Raglan Road Irish Pub and Restaurant in Disney Springs this weekend.
The celebration marks the halfway point to St. Patrick’s Day and gives guests a chance to celebrate Irish song, dance, food, and drink.
The Great Irish Hooley runs from from August 31 – September 3.
Some of the performers for this year’s Hooley include JigJam, Lisa Canny, and Billowood.
The Raglan Road Irish Dancers will also be performing all weekend, and Ciaran Keating, Raglan Road’s show choreographer will be hosting workshops all weekend.

Halloween Time kicks off September 7 at Disneyland Resort and Disney has given guests a sneak preview of the spooky eats that will be available during the Halloween celebration.

Disneyland to Eliminate Plastic Straws, Lids, and Shopping Bags Starting this Week

Disney recently announced a conservation initiative that includes eliminating single-use plastic straws, lids, and shopping bags at Disney properties worldwide.
This week at Disney World, it’s been reported that guests at table service locations are no longer receiving straws, but can still request them (kids are still being given straws).
And starting this week, Disneyland Resort will eliminate all single-use straws, lids, and plastic shopping bags from all locations on property.

Digital Key Feature in My Disney Experience App Rolls Out to All Walt Disney World Resort Hotels

The Digital Key feature in the My Disney Experience app has been rolled out to all Walt Disney World Resort Hotels.
The feature allows guests to unlock their resort hotel room using the My Disney Experience app.
This is in addition to being able to use your MagicBand to unlock your hotel room.
And because it’s Disney, guests will hear the sound of pixie dust “filling the air” as they unlock their room using their Bluetooth-enabled phone.
