Disneyland Paris Celebrating Legends of the Force in 2019

Legends of the Force – A Celebration of Star Wars is headed to Disneyland Paris in 2019.
The celebration will happen from January 12 to March 17, 2019 and will include characters, meet-and-greets, a sound and light show, and more.
Guests can enjoy the Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away show several time a day during the event, and meet Rey, Kylo Ren, Darth Maul, and Boba Fett.
Other character meet-and-greets include Chewbacca, R2-D2, and C-3PO. And, the March of the First Order will also happen each day.

Early Morning Magic at the Magic Kingdom to Offer More Rides, Different Breakfast Location

Beginning December 2, the Early Morning Magic event at the Magic Kingdom will include additional attractions and a new breakfast location.
The number of attractions open during Early Morning Magic will double and will include old favorites such as Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh plus new additions including Princess Fairytale Hall, “it’s a small world”, Mad Tea Party, and Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid.

Play, Stay, and Dine Vacation Package Returns for Early 2019 at Disney World

The popular Play, Stay, and Dine vacation package is back at Disney World for dates in early 2019.
The package is valid for stays on most nights from January 1 through March 9, 2019 and, according to Disney, “a family of 4 can play, stay, dine and save up to $500 on a 5-night/6-day room, Magic Your Way ticket and dining plan package at a select Disney Resort hotel.”
A minimum 3-night stay is required.
Guests at the Value Resorts will receive the Quick Service Dining Plan with their package, while guests at …

Rafiki’s Planet Watch Closing at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Rafiki’s Planet Watch is closing next month at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
The area includes Conservation Station, the Affection Section petting zoo, and the Habitat Habit! trail and is reachable via the Wildlife Express Train.
Guests have been able to meet Doc McStuffins, Rafiki, and other characters in the area, in addition to watching animal care cast members at work.
The last day for Rafiki’s Planet Watch is October 20.
There is no word yet on what, if anything, will replace Rafiki’s Planet Watch at the Animal Kingdom. However, the park will be celebrating the …

runDisney Reveals Finisher Medals for the 2019 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend

The 2019 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend is January 9-13, 2019, and runDisney has just revealed the finisher medals for all the races.
New for 2019 is the Walt Disney World 5K with a finisher medal featuring Oswald the Lucky Rabbit.
The finisher medal for Goofy’s Race and a Half Challenge features Goofy (of course) in a spinning medal, while the finisher medal for the Dopey Challenge – 48.6 miles! – features Dopey.
In 2019, kids participating in the runDisney Kids Dashes and One Mile Run will earn a medallion for each event. …

Disney World Switching to Date-Based Ticket Pricing

Disney World has announced that as of October 16, a new date-based ticket pricing system will be in place for the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks.
This new system will be available via My Disney Experience app and on DisneyWorld.com.
Guests will be able to use the system to search for the lowest priced days in a month, and then choose a start date for their tickets.
Once a start date is selected guests will see a total price for their selected tickets. These tickets will then be valid during the date …

New Shows, Parties, Characters, and More Coming to Disney World in 2019

Next year is going to be full of fun and surprises at the Walt Disney World Resort with new attractions, new shows, and new characters coming to the theme parks.
At the Magic Kingdom guests will have a chance to see Mickey and Minnie starting January 18 when Mickey & Minnie’s Surprise Celebration kicks off.
This fun celebration will include the new “Move It! Shake It! MousekeDance It! Street Party,” special musical moments from the Dapper Dans through September 30, and more.

Dates Announced for Festival of the Arts and Flower and Garden Festival at Epcot

Dates have been announced for two of the annual Epcot Festivals – the Festival of the Arts and the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival.
The 2019 Epcot Festival of the Arts runs from January 18 – February 25, 2019, while the Flower and Garden Festival runs for 90 days from March 6 – June 3, 2019.
At both the Festival of the Arts and the Flower and Garden Festival guests will have a chance to enjoy the nighttime concerts on every night of the Festivals.

Celebrate Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort Hotels

If you’re headed to Disneyland this Halloween season, you’ll want to check out the Halloween Time celebrations happening at the Disneyland Resort Hotels.
Guests at the Disney Grand Californian Hotel and Spa will find a lobby decorated for the season with an edible display of Halloween pumpkins. The pastry chefs at the hotel used 200 pounds of icing, 100 pounds of chocolate, and 300 pounds of fondant to create the displays.
The Disneyland Hotel and Paradise Pier Hotel are also decorated for the holiday!
