Disney Announces More Details About Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opens this summer at Disneyland and this fall at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney has released more information about what guests can expect at the new land.
Several dining locations will join the already-announced Oga’s Cantina including: Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo, Ronto Roasters, The Milk Stand (where you can get Blue AND Green Milk), and Kat Saka’s Kettle.
Merchandise locations will include Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities where guests will find “rare and uniquely-valued items from across the galaxy and spanning all eras;” Savi’s Workshop – Handbuilt …

New Logos Unveiled for the 30th Anniversary at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Disney has unveiled two new logos for the 30th anniversary celebration at Disney’s Hollywood Studios – and they feature the stars of the “Cars” films.
This seems fitting since the new Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy opens March 31.
This new attraction is part of the on-going transformation of the Studios, which also includes the new Toy Story Land, and of course, the grand opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge later this fall.

New Park Entrance, Play Pavilion, and More Announced as Part of Epcot’s Transformation

Epcot is in the midst of a multi-year transformation and today Disney announced additional plans for big changes at the park.
First, the entrance to Epcot is getting an update. The entrance plaza will feature new walkways, green spaces, and a reimagined fountain.
The Leave A Legacy photos will also be moved to an area just outside the entrance. Additional redevelopment will also begin between Spaceship Earth attraction and the World Showcase Promenade.

Disney D-Lish Merchandise Pop-Up Event Starts Today at Disney Springs

Disney is celebrating its new line of food-inspired merchandise – the Disney D-Lish merchandise – with a special pop-up event at Disney Springs starting today, February 21.
The event runs daily from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. through February 24 and is open for all guests at Disney Springs.
Guests can shop “specialty packaged goods” inspired by iconic Disney foods, enjoy special photo ops, entertainment, mini-makeovers by MAC Cosmetics, and more.
Disney is also promising other “crave-worthy surprises.”

Check Out the Merchandise for the 2019 Disney Princess Half Marathon

The 2019 Disney Princess Half Marathon is this weekend at the Walt Disney World Resort and we have a preview of the commemorative merchandise.
The merchandise slate includes apparel, Minnie Ears, new Dooney & Bourke handbags, and more.
Runners will find a selection of Princess Half Marathon logo apparel along with the popular “I Did It!” apparel.

Florida Resident ‘Discover Disney’ Tickets Available

Florida residents who want to check out everything that’s new at Disney World right now can purchase the Discover Disney ticket for just $175!
These tickets are valid for admission to one theme park per day and can be purchased now through June 27, 2019, and Florida Residents can visit any day through June 30, 2019.
The 3-day Discover Disney ticket is $175 plus tax (which figures out to be $59 per day), and residents can add a fourth day for just $20 more plus tax (for a total of $195 plus …

“Pop-Up Disney! A Mickey Celebration” is Coming to Disneyland

A new celebration – Pop-Up Disney! A Mickey Celebration – is coming to Disneyland’s Downtown Disney District this spring.
This new event will transport guests “through a visually and whimsically immersive experience celebrating 90 years of the one and only Mickey Mouse, and his darling, Minnie Mouse.”
The limited time exhibit in the Downtown Disney District will feature themed rooms with displays inspired by Mickey Mouse. The rooms will include “selfie-worthy surprises” for everyone.

Walt Disney Archives Founder Dave Smith Dies at Age 78

The Walt Disney Company has announced that Walt Disney Archive founder and Disney Legend Dave Smith died on February 15, 2019 at the age of 78.
Dave spent four decades working at The Walt Disney Company, preserving the history of Disney films, television, theme parks, and more.
In a statement, Disney Chairman and CEO Bob Iger said: “I’m deeply saddened to learn of Dave Smith’s passing. He was the unsung hero of Disney’s history who, as our first archivist, spent 40 years rescuing countless documents and artifacts from obscurity, investing endless hours …

Disneyland After Dark: Heroes Assemble Coming to Disney California Adventure

A new Disneyland After Dark event – Heroes Assemble – has been announced for Disney California Adventure.
The after-hours event will feature entertainment, character encounters, themed food, merchandise, and more — all themed to the popular super heroes.
Disneyland After Dark: Heroes Assemble will be held April   30 or May 1, 2019 from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. each night. Guests can come dressed as their favorite super heroes.
Tickets go on sale February 19 for passholders and February 21 for the general public.

Menus Announced for the 2019 Epcot Flower and Garden Festival

The 2019 Epcot Flower and Garden Festival kicks off March 6 and Disney has released all of the menus for the Outdoor Kitchens!
This year’s Festival will feature a record 17 Outdoor Kitchens plus several additional locations including Refreshment Port, Taste Track, and more.
New booths for 2019 include: Arbor at The Gardener’s Terrace, Flavor Full Kitchen, The Citrus Blossom, and Trowel & Trellis.
Returning favorites include The Smokehouse, Hanami, Bauernmarkt, La Isla Fresca, and more.
