Alice in Wonderland to Reach $100 million Opening Weekend?

7 March 2010 No Comment

MovieWeb, the Wall Street Journal, and others are anticipating that Alice in Wonderland may break $100 million this weekend.

Although Alice has suffered poor reviews from critics and lukewarm word-of-mouth pitches, the film has pulled in at least $41 million at the Box Office thus far on its opening weekend. This makes Alice’s debut the most successful for Tim Burton to date.

Alice in Wonderland could by Monday morning hold the record for March film openings. This slot is currently held by 300, which garnered only $70 million in in its opening weekend in 2007.
