The application process for the2017 Disney Dreamer Academy with Steve Harvey and ESSENCE is now open. The 2017 Academy is the program’s 10th year.
Steve Harvey, ESSENCE, and the Walt Disney World Resort host the four-day academy in March 2017.
The Disney Dreamers Academy has “helped to inspired young minds from across the country by fueling their dreams and showing them a world of possibilities.”
The students are able to participate in hands-on workshops that are related to a variety of career paths. The participants learn important skills including communication techniques, leadership values, and more.
The Academy also features celebrity motivational speakers and special guests.
Applicants must answer essay questions about their personal stories and dreams for their future. Participants are picked based on a combination of attributes including a positive attitude, strong characters, and determination.
Those who are selected will travel with a parent or guardian on an all-expense-paid trip to Walt Disney World Resort in March 2017.
