Artwork Released for Disneyland’s Diamond Celebration Merchandise

dland diamond celebrationDisneyland is celebrating its Diamond Anniversary this year and Disney is giving guests a sneak peek at the artwork for the celebration merchandise.

There are three collections of special Diamond Anniversary merchandise and there will be more than 500 special merchandise items including apparel, accessories, home décor, souvenirs, pins, D-Tech, and more.

The Character collection will focus on the characters, attractions, and history of the Disneyland Resort and features a retro palette with a modern twist.

“We wanted the art to speak to the special moments and memories that our fans have shared over the years, but we also wanted to celebrate the bright, amazing future still ahead and the generations of guests that will continue to share in the experience, ” said Disney Design Group Creative Manager Cody Reynolds.

The artwork for the Character Collection is a timeline and each panel represents a 15 year time span, beginning in black and white and transitioning to full color.

The Castle Collection features blue and silver hues that are meant to “capture the heart of Disneyland” through the image of Sleeping Beauty Castle. Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse are also featured in this collection’s merchandise.

And the Diamond Collection features black, gray, and silver tones and the artwork features a diamond with Sleeping Beauty Castle in the middle.

Disney is also releasing a special series of pins the feature Walt Disney quotes. The pins are all limited edition sets and will only be available at the Disneyland Resort. Each month between now and July a new pin will be released. The first five pin sets will only have 3,000 pins available and the last set will be a 5,000 pin edition.
