‘Block Party Bash’ Bids Farewell to Disney’s Hollywood Studios

The New Year’s Day crowds were massive, as the Block Party Bash made its final run through the streets of Disney’s Hollywood Studios yesterday.

The interactive, 35-minute parade features lots of familiar faces from Disney Pixar films, like Toy Story and The Incredibles.  It opened in the park in the spring of 2008 after a successful three-year run at Disney’s California Adventure.  Always a particularly high-energy affair, apparently, today’s performance was no exception, as performers seemed to take it to the next level.

Fans of the parade got into the act as well, holding up signs bidding the performers a fond farewell.  Fellow cast members were also on hand to cheer their co-workers on during the street party.

Following the final performance of Block Party Bash, there will be no parade featured at Disney’s Hollywood Studios for the next two weeks.  But new things are just around the bend – the Pixar Pals Countdown to Fun! will debut at the park on January 16.
