14 January 2013 No Comment

Build-A-Bear Workshop, which allows consumers to build customized stuffed animals, celebrated the launch of their Disney Princess Collection with “Princess Weekend.” Held from January 11 to January 13, stores throughout North America handed out paper crowns and stickers to give guests “the royal treatment.”

During the celebrating, they also hosted a knighting and crowning ceremony before debuting the Disney Princess Bear, complete with a sparkling crown and fun accessories to transform the stuffed animal into a variety of Disney Princesses.

Says Elaine Carovilla, director of licensing and hardlines, Disney Consumer Products:

The new Disney Princess Collection from Build-A-Bear Workshop brings the magic of the Disney Princess world to life by allowing Guests to celebrate their favorite Disney characters and create princess moments of their own.

There are several Disney Princess costumes to choose from, which will allow guests to transform their favorite stuffed animal into their favorite princess. Costumes include Belle, Tiana, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Rapunzel and Cinderella.

The Disney Princess Bear retails for $23, while each costume sells for $16 a piece.
