Adventures By Disney Offering ‘Beauty and the Beast’ Themed River Cruise

Disney’s live-action Beauty and the Beast was released last Friday and has wow audiences all weekend with the ‘tale as old as time.’
And now, Adventures by Disney is offering a Beauty and the Beast-themed river cruise for the 2018 sailing season.
On the sailings, guests will be treated to a Beauty and the Beast-themed dinner in addition to “other unique culinary experiences” inspired by the film.
Screenings of the live-action and animated films will be shown during the sailings also.

‘Star Wars’ Day at Sea on Disney Cruise Line’s Disney Fantasy

The popular Star Wars Day at Sea is planned for select sailings on the Disney Fantasy from January to April 2018.
The themed day at sea has a few new additions for guests including an expanded nighttime spectacular, Summon the Force.
This nighttime show celebrates “40 Force-filled years” with characters including Kylo Ren, Ezra, and Sabine.
Character appearances during the Star Wars Day at Sea include Star Wars Rebels’ Sabine and Ezra along with Ahsoka Tano. Guests can check out showings of Disney XD’s Star Wars Rebels on the upper deck’s Funnel Vision.

Happy first weekend of March! It’s been another busy week in Disney news so let’s dive right in.
We got an update on the new Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. The new DVC property is slated to open July 17, with sales to members beginning March 8. Sales for the general public start in April.
There are new limited-edition Disney pin collection coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom ahead of the May 27 opening of Pandora – The World of Avatar. A new pin will be released each month …

Disney Cruise Line Continues to Celebrate ‘Frozen’ Fun this Summer

If you’re sailing on the Disney Cruise Line this summer be prepared for some Frozen fun.
The “winter-in-summer” celebration is happening on board the Disney Wonder and Disney Magic all summer long, from May through July.
Kids can enjoy Frozen Adventures on the Disney Wonder with surprise visits from Anna and Elsa, and on all four Disney Cruise Line ships guests can get their photos taken with Anna, Elsa, and Olaf year-round.

The Week in Disney News: Closures at Caribbean Beach Resort, DCL 2018 Sailings, and More

What a week it’s been! We’re closing out February with major news from Caribbean Beach Resort, menus for the Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival, and summer 2018 sailings on Disney Cruise Line.
We found out this week that the restaurants – and pool bar! – at Caribbean Beach Resort are closing for refurbishment on May 1. The Old Port Royale Food Court, Shutters, and Banana Cabana Pool Bar will be affected.
Guests will have alternative options for dining in Centertown, three island markets, and a new quick service in Trinidad.

Disney Cruise Line Announces 2018 Sailing Itineraries

Disney Cruise Line has announced its 2018 sailing itineraries and several ports of call are a first for the ships.
The Disney Magic will visit Milan, Italy for the first time in addition to stops in Genoa, and Portofino. In June 2018 ports of call include Barcelona and Rome.
Disney Cruise Line is featuring its first British Isle cruise with stops in Dublin and Cork, Ireland; Greenock, Scotland; and Liverpool, England. The Disney Magic’s other stops during the summer of 2018 include the Baltic, the Norwegian fjords, and the Mediterranean.

Registration Opens February 14 for 2018 Walt Disney World Marathon

Registration for the 2018 Walt Disney World Marathon – the 25th anniversary of the race weekend – opens February 14 at at 12 p.m. ET.
The 2018 Marathon Weekend takes place January 3-7, 2018 at the Walt Disney World Resort.
Races for the weekend include: the 25th Anniversary Marathon, the Walt Disney World Half Marathon, Walt Disney World 10K, Walt Disney World 5K, 5th Anniversary Dopey Challenge, Goofy’s Race and a Half, and the runDisney Kids Races.

New ‘Beauty and the Beast’ Live Show Coming to the Disney Dream

A brand new live musical production of Beauty and the Beast will set sail on the Disney Dream starting in November.
This live show will feature a “style of theater that interlaces classic storytelling elements with cutting-edge technology” according to a press release from Disney. Guests will see the show in the 1,340 seat Walt Disney Theater.
The show will feature music, lavish costumes, and puppetry. Elements from the live-action film and the animated classic will be woven into this all-new live show.

The Week in Disney News: Title Announced for ‘Star Wars: Episode VIII’, New DFB Guide Launched, and More
