BB-8, everyone’s favorite droid from Star Wars: The Force Awakens, is coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
The droid will begin meeting guests at Star Wars Launch Bay alongside Kylo Ren and Chewbacca later this spring.
Star Wars Launch Bay is home to character meet-and-greets, galleries of memorabilia from the Star Wars galaxy, replicas of Star Wars artifacts, and more. Guests will find some items from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story too.

Disney Junior star Doc McStuffins is headed to Disney’s Animal Kingdom for a new meet-and-greet later this month.
Doc McStuffins already meets fans at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, so this will be her second meet-and-greet location.
At Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Doc will be located outside the veterinarian clinic at Rafiki’s Planet Watch. Guests will also have a chance to learn about animal conservation and how the Animal Kingdom vets care for the animals.
Doc McStuffins airs daily on Disney Junior and has recently been renewed for a fifth season.

It was a big night for Disney at the annual Annie Awards this past weekend.
Disney animated films were recognized in 11 categories at the annual awards that “recognize animation’s biggest and brightest stars,” winning 12 awards.
Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Zootopia won six awards including Best Animated Feature.
Pixar Animation Studios’ Piper won Best Animated Short Subject, and Moana was honored for animated effects and voice acting.
Zootopia also won for character design, directing, storyboarding, voice acting (Jason Bateman), and writing in an animated feature.

A new Disney Channel Original Movie, Tangled Before Ever After, is set to debut on March 10, just two weeks before the premiere of the new series Tangled: The Series.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is the name of Star Wars: Episode VIII.

Country music artists Little Big Town kicked off the fourth annual Music in Our Schools Tour at the Walt Disney World Resort last week.
The band surprised a group of students from Wadsworth (Ohio) High School as they finished a Disney Performing Arts workshop at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort. The visit was part of Give a Note Foundation’s 2017 Music in Our Schools Tour.

ABC’s daytime talk show The View is coming to the Walt Disney World Resort in March to broadcast at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
The show’s hosts announced the Disney broadcasts earlier this week. It will be the first time The View has broadcast from the Walt Disney World Resort.
