Celebrate Oscar Winners This Month at The Walt Disney Family Museum

As we are thick in the middle of awards season, come celebrate at The Walt Disney Family Museum some of the award winning features brought to you by Disney throughout his long and distinguished career.

During his storied career, Disney himself won 32 Academy Awards, giving him the record for the most awards won by an individual.  Twenty of the golden statuettes are housed right in the Museum, and guests can get an up-close-and-personal view of them.

To celebrate Disney’s award-winning accomplishments, The Walt Disney Family Museum is offering screenings of Disney’s True-Life Adventures series, which were produced between 1948-1060.  In total, the collections of shorts and features brought home eight Academy Awards, and inspired generations of naturalist filmmakers and conservationists.  Below is a complete list of events for the rest of the month of February.  Admission to film presentations is free with paid Museum Admission.

On Saturday, February 25, Walt Disney’s World of Nature will feature Academy Award-nominated producer Don Hahn (Beauty and the Beast, The Little Matchgirl), who will present about Disney’s pioneering series of True-Adventures films.  The frequently emulated series inspired the current crop of Disneynature documentaries (Earth, Oceans, African Cats, and the soon to be released Chimpanzees), which Hahn executive produces.  Separate admission is required for this presentation.
