D-Tech Me Experience Returns for Star Wars Weekends

If you ever wanted to be a Stormtrooper, now’s your chance. During this year’s Star Wars Weekends at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, guests can once book a D-Tech Me Experience where their face is transferred onto a mini Stormtrooper figure.

Last year’s D-Tech Me introduced the Carbon Freeze Me experience, inspired by that fateful scene in Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back when Han Solo is frozen in carbonite. This year guests can choose from the “cast yourself in carbonite” option or choose the new Stormtooper option.

In this new experience, the world’s highest resolution, single shot 3D face scanner (created by Imagineering scientists and the Disney Research labs) will capture an image of a guest’s face. This image is then transferred to a high resolution 3D printer that creates the Stormtrooper figurine with the guest’s face. The completed figurine is sent to guests within seven to eight weeks.

Depending on which experience guests choose, they will also receive either a Carbon Freeze Me light up wristband or a collector’s button featuring a Stormtrooper image.

The D-Tech Me experience is $99.95 plus shipping and tax. This experience is located at Darth’s Mall, located in the courtyard adjacent to Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith. To book your experience call 407-WDW-TECH.

This experience does require advance reservations and is only available during Star Wars Weekends May 17-19, May 24-26, May 31-June 2, and June 7-9.
