D23_Logo_Stack-SmD23: The Official Disney Fan Club recently announced a slate of special member events at the Walt Disney World Resort.

The first event is planned for Saturday, April 18 when Gold and Silver D23 members can enjoy the animated classic Sleeping Beauty on the big screen. This event takes place at the AMC 24 Theaters in Downtown Disney and includes special guest, animator and Walt Disney World Creative Designer Lon Smart.

All members will also receive a special journal that looks like the ornate storybook shown at the start of the film.

On Saturday, June 6, The Walt Disney Imagineering store Mickey’s of Glendale will open a pop-up shop for D23 Gold and Silver members. Members can shop for signature items from the store’s unique collection. The location for the June 6 event has not been announced.

Mickey’s of Glendale will return on November 14 at a location to be determined for a unique holiday shopping event for D23 members.

Also on June 6, D23 members have a chance to watch the Disney classic The Parent Trap (starring Haley Mills) at the AMC 24 Theaters at Downtown Disney.

D23’s Steve Vagnini will also present a look at the making of the 1961 classic film and all attendees will receive a special gift and will also get priority admission to the Mickey’s of Glendale shopping event.

In the fall during the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival, D23 members can take part in the Sip and Stroll event on October 3. Attendees will enjoy a continental breakfast, guest speakers, and an insider look at the festival before strolling (and sipping) around World Showcase.
