D23 Celebrates the Holidays with the ’23 Days of Disney Christmas’ Online Art Exhibit and Sweepstakes

Just in time for the holiday season, D23: The Official Disney Fan Club has brought back the 23 Days of Disney Christmas online art exhibit.

The collection features art contributed by artists from The Walt Disney Company including Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar Animation Studios, Disney Television Animation, Walt Disney Parks and Resorts’ Disney Design Group, Disney Consumer Products, and more.

The online exhibit opened December 3 and will run through the holidays. Each day D23.com will unveil a new piece of art that celebrates the holidays.

This year’s theme is ‘The Ultimate Gift’ and participating artists were asked what their favorite characters would most want for the holidays.

One of the artists participating this year is Disney Television Animation character designer Tara Billinger who works on the Mickey Mouse cartoon shorts and created a holiday scene with the “fab six.” The artwork also contains a “hidden Oswald.” Disney Consumer Products principal artist Steven Thompson created an illustration of Beast giving Belle a library card.

Other artists include Disney Master Artist Dave Pacheco, Wander Over Yonder executive producer/creator Craig McCracken, producer Don Hahn, Consumer Products lead designer Anthony Whitfield, Monsters University character design art director Jason Deamer, and Gravity Falls story board artist Sabrina Cotugno, plus more than a dozen additional artists.

But this isn’t just an online art exhibit as 23 lucky D23 members will have the chance to win a lithograph of the art in the 23 Days of Disney Christmas Sweepstakes. D23 members can enter the sweepstakes through 10 a.m. PT on December 26. Winners will be chosen at random and they will receive one lithograph. Only one entry is allowed per D23 member. There are 23 prizes available to win. For complete details on the sweepstakes visit D23.com.
