The Digital Key feature in the My Disney Experience app has been rolled out to all Walt Disney World Resort Hotels.
The feature allows guests to unlock their resort hotel room using the My Disney Experience app.
This is in addition to being able to use your MagicBand to unlock your hotel room.
And because it’s Disney, guests will hear the sound of pixie dust “filling the air” as they unlock their room using their Bluetooth-enabled phone.
Guests can also use this app feature to unlock hotel entrance gate and other areas that require a key including fitness centers, elevators, and club level lounges.
Make sure you have the most updated version of My Disney Experience on your phone to use this feature. To use the Digital Key, guests “may opt in and activate the feature on their check-in day through a brief set up process in the app. To enter their room, guests tap the “Unlock Door” button and then simply hold their phone against the door lock.”
