Disney is continuing their work with the Heroes Work Here initiative with an  announcement of a new scholarship program.

Through a partnership with Student Veterans of America (SVA), Disney announced that Heroes Work Here is awarding three $10,000 scholarships to student veterans who are pursuing a degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (also known as STEM).

In addition to the scholarship money, recipients will also be guaranteed an interview for an internship with The Walt Disney Company.

Last year Disney announced that they would hire 1,000 veterans through 2015 as part of the Heroes Work Here initiative, and last fall the company sponsored a day-long Veterans Institute workshop to help companies build effective veteran-hiring programs.

The Student Veterans of America is the leading organization that assists military veterans succeed in higher education.

The deadline for submitting applications for consideration is April 1, 2014. More information on the scholarship can be found by clicking here.
