Disney Channel and Disney XD to Hold Open Casting Call in Richmond, VA

Do you have dreams of being the next Selena Gomez and appearing on the Disney Channel? You might be in luck! Disney Channel and Disney XD have announced that they will be holding an open casting call in Richmond, Virginia to discover new talent for their upcoming series and films.

“We are always on the lookout for young talent and the opportunity to help make their dreams come true,” said Judy Taylor, senior vice president, Casting and Talent Relations, Disney Channels Worldwide. “This official open casting call offers the chance for participants to showcase their comedic acting ability and/or singing and dancing experience to our representatives for consideration in upcoming series and movies produced for Disney Channel and Disney XD.”

The open call will be held on July 9, 2011 from 9:00 AM-3:00 PM at the Greater Richmond Convention Center, 403 North Third Street in Richmond, Virginia. Talented performers who can play characters ages 10-18 and can sing, dance, or act are invited to attend the audition and showcase their talents in front of casting representatives. An application and monologue will be provided to those who are auditioning upon arrival. It is free to audition, and minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Attending the audition does not guarantee employment.
