10 April 2012 No Comment

Sources say that the Disney Channel has ordered a new comedy pilot called Bits & Pieces, a creative twist on the traditional multi-camera family comedy.

Executive produced by Andy Flickman and Betty Sullenger with writing from John D. Beck and Ron Hart, the new show will focus on “bits and pieces” of a family’s most comedy-worthy moments, with story lines unfolding through a series of brief comedy skits. According to the synopsis, the show will focus on a high school basketball coach named Pete who marries the school psychologist Jodie, expanding their family to four kids who are none too happy about the marriage. A series of comedic moments will follow as the children learn to adjust to their new lives.

While there has been no official word on any casting for the new show, production on Bits & Pieces begins in June and is expected to premiere sometime in 2013.
