Disney Cruise Line Announces New Ports and Itineraries for 2014

Disney Cruise Line continues to expand its offering throughout Europe and the Caribbean, as they announced this week brand new cruises and ports that their line of luxury cruise ships would be visiting in 2014.

Mediterranean

The Disney Magic will return to the Mediterranean from May to August 2014. During this time, the ship will port in Barcelona, but will also sail selected cruises out of Venice as its home port. These nine-day itineraries will cover some brand new territory in the Greek Isles and Sicily for the Cruise Line, with stops in Katakolon, Rhodes, Heraklion (Crete), Santorini and Corfu, Greece and Catania, Sicily.

The nine-night Greek Isles cruises will take place on June 26 and July 5, 2014. Rates start at $796 per person for four-night cruises, $995 per person for five-night cruises, $1,015 per person for seven-night cruises, $1,827 per person for nine-night cruises and $2,388 for 12-night European cruises for a standard inside stateroom, based on double occupancy.

Southern Caribbean

For the first time, DCL will also call San Juan, Puerto Rico, a home port for four cruises heading exploring the Southern Caribbean. The itinerary will include Grenada, a new port of call for Disney.

The seven-night voyages will take place on September 20, 27, October 4, and 11, 2014, and will include San Juan, Antigua, St. Lucia, Grenada, Barbados, and St. Kitts. Rates start at $945 per person for seven-night cruises from San Juan for a standard inside stateroom, based on double occupancy.

Alaska

In 2014, the Disney Wonder will sail seven-night cruises from Vancouver to Tracy Arm, Skagway, Juneau and Ketchikan, Alaska. In addition, DCL is planning one nine-night voyage that will also call on Sitka, Alaska — a scenic cruise through a fjord! This will be the first time that Disney has stopped in this particular port.

Rates start at $1,015 per person for seven-night cruises and $1,305 per person for the nine-night Alaska cruise for a standard inside stateroom, based on double occupancy.

The seven-night cruise departure dates will be June 2, 9, 16, 23, 30, July 7, 14, 21, 28, August 4, 11, 18, 25, September 1. The nine-night voyage that includes the Sitka stop will depart May 24.

Bahamas and other Caribbean Ports

In 2014, Disney Cruise Line will sail from Miami and Port Canaveral on Bahamian and Caribbean cruises. Ports of call will vary during the season, and rates start at $450 per person for four-night cruises and $575 for five-night cruises, and $910 per person for a seven-night. Rates are based on a standard inside stateroom, double occupancy.
