Disney Junior’s First Original Movie ‘Lucky Duck’ Premieres Friday, June 20

lucky-duckDisney Junior’s first original movie, Lucky Duck, is set to premiere on Friday June 20 and features the voice talents of Broadway and television stars.

The film stars the voice talents of Christian Borle, Megan Hilty, and Tom Cavanagh.

The animated film is geared toward kids ages 2-7 and tells the story of a group of misfit tub toys in search of the kids who love them just the way they are.

The story focuses on a rubber ducky with a broken squeaker named Lucky (Christian Borle), an extroverted hippo with mismatched eyes (Megan Hilty), and a timid turtle named Snap (Tom Cavanagh). The trio finds themselves stranded at sea when their cargo ship is caught in a storm.

The film features six original songs including “I’m a Lucky Duck,” “Tub Toy Twist,” and “Friends Will See You Through.”

Lucky Duck premieres Friday, June 20 at 7 p.m. on Disney Junior and Saturday, June 21 at 9 a.m. on Disney Channel.
