In the episode, Jake and the Never Land Pirates: Never Land Rescue, the magic of Never Land has started to disappear and the ancient Forever Tree is fading away. Soon, “The Guardian” arrives to tell Jake and his friends that only a pirate who truly believes in himself can save Never Land. Ever the brave little pirate, Jake goes on a mission alone with Tinker Bell as his guide.

This marks Tinker Bell’s first appearance in the animated series.

Disney Junior has partnered with the National Wildlife Federation on an initiative related to this episode where Jake must save the Forever Tree. Kids and their parents can visit DisneyJunior.com/GiveATree starting September 20 and designate one of four locations for the National Wildlife Federation to plant a tree.

This special primetime episode premieres Sunday, September 29 on Disney Channel at 6 p.m. ET and Disney Junior at 7 p.m. ET.

Following the premiere, Disney Junior is debuting a new animated short Mama Hook Knows Best, starring the voice of Sharon Osbourne as Captain Hook’s mother. In the first episode Mama Hook is offering words of advice to her son on how to be a good pirate. Mama Hook also inspired a new children’s book arriving in stores on September 17 called Mama Hook Knows Best: A Pirate Parent’s Favorite Fables.
