Disney Publishing Worldwide Moves Employees to California

28 April 2012 No Comment

Disney Publishing Worldwide moved the majority of their employees to White Plains, NY just shy of 5 years ago, and now they will be embarking on another move – transferring over 100 employees to Glendale, CA.

The employees transferring to Glendale will be located close to Disney’s headquarters, as well as Disney Consumer Products and Disney Interactive. The employees transferring to CA are mostly upper management positions as well as employees from the digital, content creation, global magazines and licensing units.

About 50 employees – most from  Disney Book Group – will also be returning to New York. Disney released a statement about the move, saying that in order to keep up with technology “[they need] to look at our business holistically through the eyes of the consumer. This shift in focus requires a closer alignment and integration of Disney Publishing with the company’s incredible content and distribution platforms which are based in California.”

The transfers are set to begin sometime this summer.
