Disney Recognized in 11 Categories at Annie Awards, Wins 12 Awards

It was a big night for Disney at the annual Annie Awards this past weekend.

Disney animated films were recognized in 11 categories at the annual awards that “recognize animation’s biggest and brightest stars,” winning 12 awards.

Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Zootopia won six awards including Best Animated Feature.

Pixar Animation Studios’ Piper won Best Animated Short Subject, and Moana was honored for animated effects and voice acting.

Zootopia also won for character design, directing, storyboarding, voice acting (Jason Bateman), and writing in an animated feature.

Marvel’s Doctor Strange was awarded for Outstanding Achievement, Animated Effects in a Live-Action Production, and The Jungle Book won for character animation in a live-action production.
