Disney Releases ‘Frozen’ Storybook App to Get Young Fans Excited for Film’s Release

Disney’s newest animated film doesn’t open in theaters for another two weeks, but there’s a new storybook app that gives young fans a chance to explore the story behind Frozen before they head to the movies.

The Frozen Storybook Deluxe app is available on iTunes and allows users to interact with the story as either Anna or Elsa, depending on how they flip the iPad or iPhone. Users can also create their own ice craft snow globes, and recreate scenes from the movie with frosty drawing tools.

The app also features storytelling options that allow users to read on their own, record their voice, or listen to the accompanying narration. Clips from the film are also included in the app. The app is designed for kids, so beginning readers will be able to easily read along with the stories.

The Frozen app is the third interactive storybook app from Disney Publishing. Previous storybook apps were released for Disney’s Planes and Disney/Pixar’s Monsters University.

In the movie, Anna teams with mountain man Kristoff and his reindeer Sven to find Anna’s sister, Elsa, who has trapped their kingdom in an eternal winter. The film stars the voices of Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel. Frozen arrives in theaters on November 27.
