Disney Store and Make-A-Wish to Make Dreams Come True for Five Local Children

In an effort to grant wishes to five local children suffering from life-threatening illnesses, The Disney Store at the Shops at Mission Viejo and Make-A-Wish Foundation are teaming up to give each child a private party with Mickey and Minnie Mouse, as well as a shopping spree.

The event happens April 29, and each child will receive a $100 gift card to the Disney Store, as well as a special meet and greet opportunity with Mickey and Minnie. The kids will also be able to enjoy story time with a Disney cast member, as well as be there to open the store for customers.

This event will be a celebration of World Wish Day, which marks the 31st anniversary of the first wish granted by the foundation, a milestone for Make-A-Wish. To continue the celebrations, the Disney Store will be donating up to 5 percent of $1 million in sales for the day, and will donate $250 to each Make-A-Wish chapter as well. In addition, the Disney Store will also donate 10 percent of its first day sales to the Make-A-Wish foundation for every new store that opens this year – more than 25 are expected to open.
