Disney Store in Belfast Reopens Today

Mickey and Minnie will be on hand today in Belfast, Ireland, as the Disney Store there reopens its doors to guests.

After a high-tech makeover, this one-of-a-kind Disney Store at Donegall Place will offer guest interaction among the merchandise. Visiting the store and taking in such imaginings as the Magic Mirror and in-store theater is a free Disney experience for fans of all ages.

While an official reopening ceremony will take place today, every day will have an official “opening ceremony.” In fact, the first child to visit the store each day can help open the store by turning the “Imagination Key” to bring the store to life. Electronic fireworks, music and starting up the theater are only some of the daily fun for the lucky child who can turn the “Key.”

Also, the in-store theater is to set the stage for a variety of activities including storytelling, singing and dancing sessions.

The only store of its kind in Ireland, the reopening of the Belfast store marks the first of the UK branches to reopen. Currently, there are more than 300 Disney Stores worldwide.
