Disney World’s “It’s a Small World” To Close for Refurbishment

If you were planning on riding the classic “It’s a Small World” ride at Disney World next week it might be time for a change of plans. According to the Disney Parks Blog the ride will be closing this Sunday for refurbishment until October 22nd.

Disneyland recently did a refurbishment to their version of the attraction, in which they added characters from Disney’s popular animated films. Most of the fans of the classic ride seemed nonplussed at the additions of characters like Lilo and Stitch to one of the original rides in the park. According to WDW Magic however, “During the refurbishment the queue will be reconfigured to improve guest flow, with the exit being moved to near Pinocchio Village Haus.” This may offer some solace to purists.
