Disney XD Begins a Non-Stop Summer with Special Guest Stars, New Series Premieres, and Theme Nights

Disney XD kicked off summer this week with its “Non-Stop Summer” programming for kids and families including guest star appearances by the NBA’s Dwight Howard, the NFL’s DeSean Jackson, and NASCAR’s Joey Logano.

The special programming also includes new series premieres, themed nights, and a fan-generated event called Chicken I Dare You.

Chicken I Dare You features pro athlete Dwight Howard along with Disney XD stars and fan favorite costume character Chicken. Viewers can visit DisneyXD.com/IDareYou and vote for the star they want to see dare The Chicken to complete a random and hilarious act. Dares are set to air Monday nights from June 24 until August 26.

Beginning July 22, Disney XD will premiere a primetime sports-themed events featuring top talent from the NFL, NASCAR, and X Games. The network has also teamed with the X Games to create four specials that will feature stars and events from the X Games, and a behind-the-scenes look at the games.

New series for the summer include Marvel’s Avengers Assemble which premieres Sunday July 7 at 11 a.m. ET. On July 8 the channel is premiering new monster truck-themed episodes of Kickin’ It, Crash & Bernstein, and Lab Rats. Right now fans can visit the Disney XD page and play Disney XD: Titans on the Track, an action-packed online gaming adventure that takes place at a monster truck rally where players race for the gold while performing stunts. Marvel’s Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H. debuts August 11, and the Disney Tryathalon premieres August 12.
