Sources have announced that Disney XD have ordered a pilot for the combination live-action and animated series Kirby Gates.
The show follows high school student Kirby Gates as he navigates his teen years and dreams about becoming a world-famous animator. His daydreams frequently take him into worlds where reality and animation combine, leading to some interesting situations.
David Bowers will direct the pilot, while scribes Gabe Snyder and Mike Alber penned the script. No word has been released on when we can expect the premiere of Kirby Gates, but we’ll keep you updated when we know more.
