Disney Channel’s sister station Disney XD, which targets the male demographic, has recently announced that I’m in the Band will not return for a third season.
On Thursday, a spokeswoman for the station said that enough episodes of the live-action show have been filmed to finish out the year, and that they’ll be accompanied by a “robust marketing plan.”
I’m in the Band marks the second Disney XD show that has been canceled; the first, Aaron Stone, debuted in 2009 and only lasted two seasons.
Additionally, the future of Zeke and Luther, a skateboarding sitcom, is also up in the air. According to a Disney spokeswoman, production for the comedy has been completed for season 3, and network executives have not made a decision regarding the show’s future.
