Disneyland Cast Member Russell Fenton Earns Fourth-Highest U.S. Armed Forces Medal

30 November 2012 No Comment

Returning to work after a 10-month deployment in Afghanistan, Disneyland Resort employee and U.S. Army 1st Lt. Russell Fenton earned the U.S. Armed Forces Bronze Star Medal.

Fenton manages construction projects for Disneyland Resort and the U.S. Army while deployed. Fenton received the Bronze Star for overseeing one of the largest construction projects in Afghanistan.

While he has returned to work at the Disneyland Resort, Fenton says the support from Disney and other cast members was overwhelming. Says Fenton:

Just knowing how well Disney takes care of military veterans, even when they are deployed and unable to work as cast members, speaks volumes about this company. Disney really values its people.

In addition to a job promotion he received from Disney while overseas, Fenton also received support and care packages from fellow cast members during his deployment.
