Disneyland’s Downtown Disney District Becoming a Festive Winter Village for the Holidays

The holiday season is almost here and the Downtown Disney District at the Disneyland Resort will soon be transformed into a winter wonderland.

The Downtown Disney Winter Village will appear on November 14 around the ESPN Zone and the AMC Theaters, adding a little extra holiday magic to the District.

The village will include holiday cottages, shopping chalets full of perfectly magical holiday gifts, and a 30-foot Christmas tree. The tree is the centerpiece of Olaf’s Frozen Ice Rink inspired by Walt Disney Picture’s Frozen.

At Olaf’s Frozen Ice Rink guests can lace up their skates and glide around the ice while enjoying holiday music. The rink will be open from 3-10:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 3-11:30 p.m. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Additional holiday events in the Downtown Disney District include carolers on December 5, and December 16-25, performances of scenes from The Nutcracker by the Anaheim Ballet on December 5 and 19.

Downtown Disney Unwrapped – a presentation of fun gift ideas – starts on Black Friday, November 29.
