Disney’s ‘Club Penguin’ Now Available in Germany

Last week, Disney announced they were opening a fully localized version of their popular Club Penguin website in Germany, making this the fifth fully localized version the company has produced so far.

Said Jeff Jones, Disney’s GM and VP of digital games for EMEA:

The launch of clubpenguin.de is part of our strategy to make Club Penguin even more social and accessible for all our players across multiple platforms. German players will now be able to immerse themselves in all the fun virtual world and as we take engaging experiences mobile, in future players will also able to connect with Club Penguin safely, wherever they are.

Originally founded by three fathers who wanted a safe virtual environment for their children to play online, Club Penguin has quickly surpassed all expectations and grown to encompass more than 150 million registered users across 190 countries since its debut in 2005.

While Club Penguin is free to play, it offers many premium options as well.
