Disney Unveils Vision for Disney Springs – Town Center and TheThe transformation of Downtown Disney into Disney Springs is continuing as more stores and restaurants are opening and construction seems to be non-stop.

In recent weeks guests have seen The BOATHOUSE open at The Landing in addition to the opening of several new stores including Sound Lion and Erin McKenna’s Bakery NYC.

One store that has kept guests guessing is the old United World Soccer storefront. The windows of the old store now feature Marvel characters including Star Lord and others, and a sign that says “Coming Soon: Superhero Headquarters.

This seemingly Marvel-themed store has no official opening date, but some are speculating that it’ll be open on May 1 – the same day that Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron opens in theaters.

Other construction projects include the pedestrian bridges over Buena Vista Drive. The bridge from the AMC Theater driveway to Team Disney’s parking lot is expected to be open later this summer. Another bridge will be built near Town Center.

The widening of Buena Vista Drive continues as does the construction of the I-4 connector.

Several other restaurants are expected to open this year at Downtown Disney/Disney Springs including Morimoto Asia.
