Ear Hat Ornaments Inspired by the Main Street Electrical Parade Debuting This Summer

The Main Street Electrical Parade debuted at Disneyland in June 1972 and at the Magic Kingdom in June 1977, and is loved by Disney fans everywhere. In honor of the parade’s anniversary Disney is releasing a new ear hat ornament set inspired by the parade.

The ear hat ornament set was designed by Disney Design Group artist Costa Alavezos and is a limited edition.

Alavezos told the Disney Parks Blog that he selected some of the most memorable floats from the parade for the ornaments, including the ‘To Honor America’ float. That particular float is the longest in the parade and he chose to focus on the bald eagle for the ornament.

The entire set features five ornaments that light up, giving fans their very much own smaller version of the iconic parade. There is a limited edition size of 600 sets and the ornaments will be released at Disneyland and Walt Disney World in August. The Disney Parks online store will also carry the ornament set at a yet-to-be-announced date.
