ESPN to Close High School Business Unit

According to media reports, ESPN will be closing it’s high school business unit. This unit includes their ESPNHS.com website, two magazines and its event management service. Once the unit closes this fall, 75 people will lose their jobs.

ESPN channels will, however, continue to air several high school games while espnW.com will pick up girl’s basketball. Meanwhile, ESPNRecruitingNation.com will air coverage of high school recruitment.
