Fantasy Faire Opening March 12 at Disneyland Park

1 February 2013 One Comment

New details about Disneyland’s Fantasy Faire have been revealed, including the official opening date: March 12, 2013 to be exact!

One of the biggest features of Fantasy Faire will be the Royal Theatre. At the theatre, two Renaissance Storytellers – Mr. Smythe and Mr. Jones – will treat visitors to two unique stories based on Beauty and the Beast and Tangled.

The storytellers will present each tale with the help of a few local villagers while Sir Samuel of Morocco will provide musical accompaniment. Belle, Rapunzel and Flynn Rider  will even appear on stage to help tell their own stories.

Show Director Chris Utley says:

We’re using our imaginations to create these stories. The storytellers will play a variety of roles, filling in as the other characters. They may put on a costume accessory to pretend to be Beast, or Gaston or Mother Gothel. The stories are told in a fast-paced, whimsical kind of way – very fun and theatrical.

You’ll be able to catch the Storytellers in action when Fantasy Faire opens March 12.
