Festival of the Masters and Epic Mickey Hit Downtown Disney

Looking for something to do on a gorgeous Florida Fall Day?  Disney’s Festival of the Masters will be held at Downtown Disney from Friday, November 12 until Sunday, November 14.

2010 marks the 35th year for the prestigious outdoor event.  The annual festival features both one-of-a-kind and limited edition works of art from nearly 150 award-winning artists across various media, ranging from sculpture and jewelry to photography, paintings, and more.

In addition to all of the wonderful art to admire and purchase, guests have the chance to chat with the artists.  And there is something for everyone:  the festival also offers live music and special food.  And there’s more – stroll down to House of Blues for folk arts, or to the Marketplace for some outstanding chalk art as well.

Another special event at this year’s Festival of the Masters:  guests will get to see a sneak peek – and even play! – Disney’s new Wii action adventure game, Disney Epic Mickey!  The much-anticipated game allows YOU to step into Mickey’s shoes to try your hand at becoming a true Disney hero!

But perhaps best of all:  Festival of the Masters is a free event, with free parking.  Free probably means that the parking lot will fill up fast, so you may want to head there early.  Hours for the event are 9:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
