First Poster Revealed for Tim Burton’s ‘Frankenweenie’

We let you know yesterday about the new poster that was released for Disney/Pixar’s Brave this week, but Walt Disney Studios has brought us another special poster in the past few days as well. The first poster for the upcoming Tim Burton film Frankenweenie was recently revealed, giving us one of our first looks at the stop-motion animated film.

The film, helmed by legendary director Tim Burton, is a feature length remake of Burton’s 1984 short film of the same name. Here is the film’s official description:

From creative genius Tim Burton (“Alice in Wonderland,” “The Nightmare Before Christmas”) comes “Frankenweenie,” a heartwarming tale about a boy and his dog. After unexpectedly losing his beloved dog Sparky, young Victor harnesses the power of science to bring his best friend back to life—with just a few minor adjustments. He tries to hide his home-sewn creation, but when Sparky gets out, Victor’s fellow students, teachers and the entire town all learn that getting a new “leash on life” can be monstrous.

The film, which will be entirely in black-and-white, will feature the voice talents of Winona Ryder, Catherine O’Hara, Martin Short, Martin Landau, Tom Kenny, and Charlie Tahan. Frankenweenie will debut in theaters on October 5, 2012.
