Frozen Summer Fun Event Extended Through September 28 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

frozen dhsDisney has announced that the Frozen Summer Fun event at Disney’s Hollywood Studios has been extended through September 28.

The event has been a daily occurrence since July 5 and was scheduled to end on September 1.

The Frozen Summer Fun event begins each day with a royal welcome with Anna and Elsa  at 11 a.m. The sisters arrive in Hollywood in a horse-drawn sleigh as part of their “goodwill tour” of neighboring kingdoms and are joined by Kristoff and other winter folks including skiers.

Guests can pick up a “Take-Along Olaf” in the park and share photos with the hashtag #OlafSummerVacation.

Inside the Premiere Theater Anna and Elsa are joined by the Royal Historians of Arendelle for a musical retelling of the history of the kingdom in the Frozen Sing-Along Celebration.

And, at Soundstage One Oaken and his cousins created a Frozen Funland with cold weather activities and photo opportunities. The area includes a frozen pond with ice skating , a “Do You Want to Build a Snowman” play area, a “big summer blowout” with Frozen merchandise, and Frozen-inspired food and beverages.

The nightly dance party takes over the Sorcerer’s Hat Icon Stage area at 5:30 each night with a DJ, live band, and more.

And at 9:45 p.m. every night Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, and Olaf come together at the Sorcerer’s Hat Icon Stage for a grand finale to the day including the Frozen Fireworks Spectacular.

Most of the entertainment and event features will continue daily, with the Frozen Fireworks Spectacular presented each night through September 1. After September 1 the fireworks will be shown on a Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays through September 28.
