Epcot Food and Wine Festival and Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Just Some of the Events this Fall at Walt Disney World

mickeys-not-so-scary-halloween-partySummer vacation might have just started, but it’s never too early to start thinking about your fall visit to the Walt Disney World Resort.

This fall is full of magical fun including an extended Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and the 19th annual Epcot International Food & Wine Festival that has been extended to a record 53 days.

The fall 2014 season kicks off on September 1 with the first Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party of the year. The party takes place on 26 nights throughout September and October.

The hard-ticket event takes place on select nights through October 31 beginning at 7 p.m. and running until midnight. Highlights of the party include Happy HalloWishes, Mickey’s Boo-to-You parade, and trick-or-treating throughout the park.

This fall marks the 32nd year for Disney’s Night of Joy musical event featuring top Contemporary Christian artists. The event takes place on September 5 and 6 this year and tickets are now one sale.

For the first time ever, the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival has been extended to a record 53 days for 2014. This is the 19th year for the foodie fest and it begins on September 19 and runs through November 10.

The festival not only features tapas size dishes from more than 30 marketplace booths, but guests can also take part in culinary demonstrations by celebrity chefs, in addition to wine tastings and mixology seminars.

The Eat to the Beat concert series for this year’s festival features acts including The Pointer Sisters and Rick Springfield. Be sure to check out the Disney Food Blog’s 2014 Epcot Food and Wine Festival Page for the most up-to-date information.

This fall marks the fifth anniversary of runDisney’s Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon on November 7-9. This half marathon features a 13.1 nighttime race on November 9 through Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Epcot.

The weekend also includes Mickey’s Jingle Jungle 5K and kids’ race. While the “grown up” races are sold out you can still register your little ones for the kids’ races and purchase tickets for the Disney Wine & Dine Pre-Race Taste Party.

For guests visiting Walt Disney World this fall, Disney is once again offering Free Dining with a Magic Your Way Package. The dates are: August 31-October 3; October 26-November 1; November 9-20; and December 12-23. Packages must be booked by August 8.

Other special events this fall include the Disney Fit Challenge on September 26-28, the first-ever Disney Princess Cup Soccer Event on October 10-12; the Festival of the Masters on November 7-9; Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party on select dates from November 7 through December 19; and the Orlando Classic at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex from November 27-30.
